So I decided to interview Lindsey Green, Director of Communications for Jill Stuart, to help me clear some of this stuff up. Is there any way to train for it, or is it mostly on-the-job learning stuff? Lets face it, we all love fashion on TV and advertisers realise it, as it can be a powerful advertising tool and make them lots of money, as well as providing entertainment. I love this because it gives me the ability to really connect with our line and have a relationship with editors, stylists, our design team etc as the face of the brand. What I do is called “In House PR” meaning I just work in house for one brand. Started as an offline project in 1998 by Stuart Howard, FMD went live on the web in 2000 and was taken over by British media group Fashion One Group two years later. I was always very interested in style and fashion personally and decided to take the leap and I took an internship at Jill Stuart during fashion week a few years ago.

FMD was started as a private offline project in 1998 by Stuart Howard. Consequently, the site started publishing its own fashion news and currently has up to 100 daily updates. I got into fashion pretty randomly. Maybe an internship during fashion week. The history of New York Fashion Week can be traced back to the 1940s. Yet I continue to be impressed and fascinated with Kelly Cutrone and respect what she had done with her business. I think on the job training and internships are the best tools for learning the fashion business. My fascination with this show really has opened my eyes to the reality of a business I never knew much about: Fashion PR. These days people pursue fashion designing courses if they choose it as their vocation. It was one of the toughest weeks of my life coming in three days before a show knowing zero about the industry, but it was the best thing I’ve ever done. It was like getting a four year degree in four and a half days.

The year 2012 was a great year for the online fashion stores in Australia. There are certainly glamorous aspects to any fashion job but it’s not the kind of glamour people perceive when they see movies or watch reality TV. Besides the variation in panel numbers, there are arched panels, eyebrow shaped panels, classic eyebrows etc, which add to the elegance of the oak interior doors. We were kind of a fashion community, but there were camps at the time and benevolent competition among all the camps. Fashion week is the best time to test your ability to handle the pressure, the hours and all the many details that come with the job. The Fashion Model Directory (FMD) is an online database of information about fashion models, modelling agencies, fashion labels, fashion magazines, fashion designers and fashion editorials. It includes complete information about the appearance of the model in advertisements, magazine covers, editorials, and fashion shows, as well as information about her hobbies, official and other websites, and other relevant notes. Basically all operations regarding name, the brand, press, image, magazine credits, you name it- all goes through me. This year’s headliners included Uber’s Dara Khosrowshahi and SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell, along with leaders in areas like food, activism, and wellness, including Bricia Lopez, head of operations at L.A.’s iconic Guelaguetza restaurant, and visual artist Takeshi Muraka.

FMD also provides an extensive picture gallery for each fashion model, including copyright information and photographer credit where available. I didn’t go to fashion school or have aspirations to be in the fashion world. They hits the world. Fashion is a big world and it can be hard to control. The first is considered one of the most important pieces of carpeting in the world for its history, craftsmanship and preservation. The draw I feel to the show is a strange one. I find the experience really fun and I feel really fortunate to be able to be a part of it. I would recommend that they try to get a little bit of on the job experience if possible. It’s my job to make sure our company’s image is presented in the best way possible. Could it really be as crazy as the ladies and gents at People’s Revolution make it seem?

The sunken-eyed underlings work long hours under crazy of pressure and endure endless verbal abuse. It’s tough, hard work with long hours, lots of details and responsibilities. Sometimes it’s really exciting as there’s so many great things going on in the fashion world, but obviously some nights you’ve been working all day and it can be tough to then go out. In today’s world, Fashion and style become a very essential part of life. Can you explain the different types of fashion PR? There are a few different types. They are in again with the classic comfort and the modern touch of fashion. What exactly do people in Fashion PR do? Who’s going to complain about free cocktails and mingling with interesting people? The T.V. commercials and the press have also affected and captured the imagination of the people. I have a very business-oriented mind and I came here after working in restaurants and hotels and doing a little film. Who said little girls have to be dressed in pink? What advice would you give to someone who is interested in a career change to PR? His advice has ranged from the technicalities of construction to the needs to both “be who you are” and “listen to the judges”.
